Episode 8 - A conversation with Grady Spiegel

In this episode of Voices of Faith for Everyday Living, Rev. Phyllis talks with Grady Spiegel.  Grady and Phyllis talk "on their front porch" about how Grady has found his "Higher Power" that has changed him and directed his recovery from alcoholism.  This episode is a wonderful way to reflect on how "death" and "resurrection" can affect us in our everyday life. 

A Conversation with Spencer Pugh

Rev. Phyllis has a conversation with Spencer Pugh, a member of St. Anne church.  Spencer speaks about his role as chair of the Commission on Ministry for the diocese and how laity play an important role in the church.  He shares a unique story about how he chose St. Anne as his worship space before he actually had a home in the area.  Spencer also shares how his faith has grown and been strengthened by hardship he has been through in his life.

Phyllis is joined by the co-producer of "Voices", Steve Miller.  Steve discusses his faith journey and how he was called to create the podcast despite being ready to retire from his job of 34 years.  He also discusses how God prepared him to take on the challenge of broadcasting the st. Anne Sunday services and how a sense of community in his life has led him to St. Anne and to the service of others.
